Part-Time Administrator Vacancy
At St Paul’s Harringay our vision is to: Love Jesus, Love Neighbour, Grow Disciples, Plant Churches. In order for the vision to be fulfilled, we are looking for a part-time Administrator to work closely with the Operations Manager and Pastor. The role involves carrying out the day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining records, coordinating rotas and Sunday services, and maintaining the buildings. We are looking for an administrator that can attend to the unseen tasks to allow ministry to be carried out effectively.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Service Administration: Ensuring the smooth running of Sunday services including organising rotas, service sheets, and special service papers; coordinating with volunteers; ordering and restocking supplies; maintaining equipment.
- Office Administration: Oversee and coordinate office administration including handling parish queries, correspondence, and statutory documents; restocking office supplies; supporting the Staff team.
- Building Administration: Keeping the buildings maintained including organising bookings and service providers; liaising with the Buildings Maintenance Committee.
- Church of England Compliance: Responsibilities include updating parish records; handling statutory documents, marriage banns, and the electoral roll.
- Communication: Assisting the staff team in clear communication to the church such as creating newsletters, event materials, and service papers; maintaining the church website.
Experience and Requirements
It is expected that the Church Administrator will:
- have skills in organisation, time management, and communication,
- have experience in administration and managing schedules,
- be a committed member of a church (it is preferable but not essential that they are a member of St Paul’s Harringay),
- be a member of the St Paul’s staff team and attend weekly staff meetings including prayer,
- attend part of Co-Mission Staff Focus in November
It is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian who is aligned with our statement of faith.
Appointment
Part-Time for 15 hours per week.
Salary
£11,502 (FTE: £30,673), within £11-13k range depending on experience.
